Abstract
In this article, Sue Osborne examines the implementation of jigsaw puzzling as a structured library activity at Parkdale Secondary College (PSC). Drawing on cognitive and affective research, as well as observational data from 2024–2026, it explores how puzzling supports metacognitive development, social belonging, resilience, and student engagement. The introduction of the Interschool Puzzle Club (IPC) further expanded puzzling into a competitive and community building program. Findings indicate that puzzling offers accessible, low barrier opportunities for focus, collaboration, and student wellbeing.
